PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To promote the formation of a deposit on a sintering zone of a rotary kiln even at a high operation temperature by lining an inner surface of a rotary kiln for cement industry with a specific refractory material containing zirconium oxide. ;SOLUTION: The inner surface of a rotary kiln for cement industry is lined with a refractory material composed mainly of a magnesia spinel and comprising 10-50wt.% of a spinel clinker (MgO.Al2O3), 50-90wt.% of sintered magnesia and 0.5-4wt.% (based on 100wt.% of the sum of the spinel clinker and the sintered magnesia) of a zirconium oxide component for promoting the formation of deposit.
