PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the durability of a pipe for skid for supporting a working beam steel material of a heating furnace. ;SOLUTION: The pipe for skid 1 is covered with a ceramic fiber 2 and a sheet-like refractory 3 by laminating both thereon. The sheet-shaped refractory is constituted to be flexible at room temperature, to harden during the heating process and, in succession, exhibit a mechanical strength of 10MPa or higher after heated at 1400°C and to have the fire resisting characteristic after heated. Then, the sheet-shaped refractory 3 protects the ceramic fiber 1 having a small strength on the inside thereof, and sufficient serviceability is ensured by absorbing a dimensional change caused by a thermal expansion change, by heating and cooling of the pipe 1 itself due to a mutually small restriction of the pipe of the skid pipe 4 and a refractory heat insulating layer even if an air cooling system is adopted.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
