SURFACE MOUNTING TYPE PIN HEADER CONNECTOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a pin header connector of surface mounting type which easily receives the surface tension of a solder, and is excellent in self-alignment effect. SOLUTION: In a pin header connector, the tip of a contact lead 1 is worked semi-spherically to form a semi-spherical part 2. Thus, the mounting on a conductor pattern 4 on a printed circuit board 5 can be performed to realize a surface mounting. The semi-spherical part 2 on the tip of the contact lead 1 easily receives the surface tension of a solder 3, and exhibits excellent self-alignment effect of self-correcting a slippage even when it has a slight mounting slippage to the printed circuit board 5.
