PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To change the shape of a mound and increase the stability against sliding-out at an earthquake, by executing boring works piercing the bottom plate and the foundation rubble from the upper part of a mooring pier structure to inserting a casing and injecting pressurized water in it and slackening the ground under the rubble. ;SOLUTION: A casing 7 is penetrated in a mooring pier structure 2 from the upper part thereof to the lower part. The front end 7' of the easing is inserted therein so as to reach the back fill 3 through the stuffed sand 5 of the structure 2, the bottom 6 of the structure, and the foundation rubble 1. Then, pressurized water 8 is injected in the casing 7 to eject it from the front end 7'. Next, the foundation ground 3 under the foundation rubble 1 is slackened, while monitoring it by use of a clinometer or the like in a real time base. By gradually executing the work, the mound itself or the rubble 1 at the position where the structure 2 is mounted is positioned to get a rising inclination toward the water area W. In this way, the frictional resistance of the rubble against the mooring pier is brought out to increase the stability against sliding- out at an earthquake.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
