PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily find a forged prepaid card by providing a mechanism which detects a forged prepaid card manufactured by performing a forging process by using a prepaid card having plural punch holes of a used rate or usable rate bored at random while overlapping each other. ;SOLUTION: This device is equipped with the detecting mechanism which detects the forged prepaid card manufactured by performing a forging process by using a prepaid card having plural punch holes of the used rate or usable rate bored at random while overlapping each other. Namely, this device passes the prepaid card 1 through the respective heads of a magnetic conductivity detection part 17, a dielectric constant detection part 72, and a perforation position shape detection part 73 by a card feeding mechanism 61. When one or plural detection parts detect abnormality in this process, their outputs are inputted to an abnormality processing circuit 82 through an abnormality detecting OR circuit 81 and displayed at a display part 4, and a CPU 3 inhibits an advance to a next step, so that the forged card 1 is discharged by a discharging mechanism 9.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
