DETECTION METHOD OF HYDROGEN PEROXIDE WITHOUT BEING INFLUENCED BY ASCORBIC ACID

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect the presence or concentration of hydrogen peroxide H₂O₂ by a method wherein a redox indicator and a transition metal complex such as creatine or guanidine which forms a coordinate bond with iron are brought into contact with a living body liquid or a solution, then the changed color is measured. ;SOLUTION: A transition metal complex such as creatine or guanidine which forms a coordinate bond with iron and a redox indicator such as 3,3',5,5'- tetralkyl benzine having a 1-6C. alkyl group are brought into contact with a living body liquid or a solution which has a possibility of including hydrogen peroxide H₂O₂, then changed color is measured so that H₂O₂ in the solution is detected. A test piece into which the indicator and transition metal complex are impregnated is brought into contact with the solution, or a detection reagent test paper of H₂O₂ is sequentially immersed into immersion liquids of the indicator and metal complex. At that time, the metal complex is reacted with H₂O₂ and acts as a catalyzer to oxidation of the indicator under the existence of H₂O₂ and it prevents the interference of ascorbic acid in the solution.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
