PURPOSE:To prepare the subject device preventing the lag of a seedling-feeding timing by disposing a closing means in a link mechanism for vertically moving a transplanting cylinder, the closing, means being used for changing from the opening posture of a seedling-receiver to a seedling-holding posture in a process for lifting the transplanting cylinder. CONSTITUTION:A closing means 45 is disposed in a link mechanism 31 for vertically moving a transplanting cylinder 32. When a seedling receiver 39 receiving a seedling A is opened to deliver the seedling into the transplanting cylinder 32 and subsequently the transplanting cylinder 32 is lifted with the link mechanism 31, the closing means 45 is operated to press the seedling receiver 39, and the opening posture of the seeding receiver is changed into the closing posture thereof.
