PURPOSE:To obtain a smooth virtual line with reduced error by imaging a plurality of the places where seedlings have been planted, obtaining individual centers of gravity of individual binary-coded areas to know the positions of centers of gravity in individual areas from the adjacent 3 or more centers of gravity. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of the places to which seedlings haven been planted are imaged and binary-coded to know the centers of gravity of the individual areas. Groups are constituted by combining 2 or more adjacent areas along the seedling line and the center of gravity is calculated every group. Then, a virtual line is calculated to the coordinates of the center gravities in the group.
