PURPOSE:To provide a mound-type structure for generating upswelling flow, capable of efficiently generating upswelling flow independent of the flow direction of seawater even in a sea area having unstable stream direction and easily mountable on the sea bottom. CONSTITUTION:The objective mound-type structure to be mounted on the sea bottom 12 has a nearly conical or nearly truncated conical shape and is provided with gentle slopes 14 inclining toward the sea bottom 12 from the top 13 in radial directions.
