Upwellings current generation structures

PURPOSE:To provide the subject structure for production of upwilling currents, capable of efficiently converting horizontal currents to perpendicular currents while reducing a counter current zone on the upper current side thereof and capable of ready setting and ready repairing. CONSTITUTION:A mound-shaped structure 12 for setting up on the submarine ground 44, e.g. composed of blocks 11, etc., piled up in layers. This structure 12 has a peak part 13 arranged across a tidal current (X) and gentle slopes 14 inclined from the peak part 13 toward the submarine ground surface. Horizontal currents running against the structure 12 go upward along the slope 14 and then join currents passing over the structure 12.
