PURPOSE:To enable easy replacement of a writing element in a capless writing implement having an anti-drying mechanism, by a construction wherein the writing element is detachably fitted to an interlocking member in a main body of the writing implement. CONSTITUTION:A thread-like member 12 connected to a seal cover 9 is fitted to a cylindrical body 4, and the cylindrical body 4 and a writing element 3 are detachably fitted. Upon run-out of an ink contained in the writing element 3, a rear barrel 2 is disengaged from a tip-side shaft 1 by rotating. In this case, a retaining part 25 for a knock rod 5 prevents the writing element 3 from being rotated, so that the thread-like member 12 is not twisted. The writing element 3 can be removed by simply drawing it out of the cylindrical body 4. Therefore, the writing element can be replaced extremely easily by removing the used writing element 3 and inserting and fitting a new writing element 3.
