This machine, composed of several elementary ramming machines 1, 1', 1'', 1''', coupled to one another and each carrying several rammers 6, has a total length which is shorter than the length of the ramming caisson (box) by the value of a displacement stroke C, all the rammers being separated by a constant distance E1 at most equal to the said stroke C, so that the alternate displacement of the machine with this stroke C rams the coal over the entire length of the ramming caisson (box).
