RING BINDING WITH A 6-SIDED OR 8-SIDED ENVELOPE

A ring binding (1) has a 6-sided or 8-sided cover (10, 30) with at least one first back sheet (12) and one second back sheet (13) whose free end (14) is suspended from the binding, as well as two pairs of parallel grooves (20, 21; 22, 23) whose mutual spacing is the same. Along one of both pairs of grooves is provided a cut-out (26) which tapers towards the closed side and gives access to a pocket (19). The first and the second back sheets (12, 13) are glued to each other in the area adjacent to the cut-out (26).
