A number of heated injection molding nozzles aremounted along the side surface of a melt conveyingmanifold. In one embodiment of the invention, a connectorcollar having a tapered flange portion is bolted to theside surface of the manifold to provide each melt boreoutlet. Each nozzle has a matching flange portion with amelt bore inlet extending laterally from a side surface.The nozzle is mounted on the manifold by securing theflange portions together by bolting a wedge clamp havingtwo halves over the aligned flange portions. Thisaccurately aligns the inlet with the outlet and allows thenozzle to be rotated to a particular angular position. Inanother embodiment, a melt conduit member is mountedbetween the manifold and each nozzle. The melt conduitmember is clamped to the manifold after being rotated to adesired angular position about a first axis. A nozzle isclamped to the melt conduit member after being rotated toa desired angular position about a second axis which issubstantially perpendicular to the first axis. Thus, eachnozzle can be located with any desired angular orientationwithout the melt flowing through an acute angle bend.
