VENTILATION APPARATUS PROVIDING AIR EXTRACTION ADJACENT SELECTED WORKSTATIONS IN A CONFINED SPACE

An exhaust ventilation apparatus to betemporarily mounted in a continuous pulp digester orsimilar elongated vessel to provide local air ventilationfrom one or more selected worksites in the vessel. Anexhaust duct extending upwardly to an outlet opening hasnumerous inlet ports spaced along it. Venturi type airmovers each having an air collection conduit attached to itare connected to several of the inlet ports of the exhaustduct. Each air collection conduit is mounted with an inletlocated near one of the selected worksites to draw pollutedair out of the vessel through the exhaust duct. The airmovers and/or the air collection conduits are easilymovable as work progresses.
