A multiple-phase combined preparation contains at least 28 daily dosing units. The first phase with at least the first 21 daily dosing units contains a dose of a competitive progesterone antagonist sufficient to inhibit ovulation during this first phase. The second phase includes 5 to 28 daily dosing units that each contain a gestagen. Also disclosed is a package containing this combined preparation (contraceptive kit) and a contraceptive method that uses this combined preparation.
