NOVEL DNAS, NOVEL POLYPEPTIDES AND NOVEL ANTIBODIES

A DNA selected from among those having the base sequences described in SEQ ID NOS: 1 to 17 and being complementary to the RNA strand of an mRNA the expression dose of which varies in the brain of a patient with Alzheimer's disease compared with the mRNA expressed in normal brain; a DNA fragment hybridizable with the above-mentioned DNA from which at least one base in the above DNA has been deleted or substituted by another base, or at least one base has been added to the above DNA; polypeptides encoded by these DNAs; antibodies recognizing these polypeptides; and diagnosis, treatment and studies on patients with Alzheimer's disease by using the DNAs, polypeptides and antibodies as described above.
