The subject matter of the present invention is an electrochemical generator with liquid electrolyte and electrodes which are wound in a spiral provided with an axial shaft (3) for filling with electrolyte and are placed inside a cylindrical or prismatic casing in such a way that there is a conduit (4), for removal of the air delivered by the electrolyte, between the external perimeter of the set of electrodes and the internal wall of the said casing, which generator is characterised in that it includes a washer (6) arranged between the said casing and the set of eletrodes, at the end of the said shaft (3) which is opposite the electrolyte inlet, the said washer (6) being provided with at least one opening (7, 11) connecting the said shaft (3) and the said conduit (4).
