FIELD: analytical chemistry; applicable in determination of minor quantities of cobalt in the presence of high content of nickel, tungsten, molybdenum and many complexing agents, such as citric, tartaric, ascorbic, salicylic acids, thiourea in high-acid medium. SUBSTANCE: the offered method includes determination with organic reagent quinolinazo-P in medium of hydrochloric acid (2 M solution) without preliminary separation of base. Solution is photometered in the region of absorption band with maximum at 590 nm. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 3 tbl
