On-line viscosity determination and control by measurement of current supplied to mixer motor

This method determines the viscosity of mixtures, in the mixer, during operation. Normal viscosity determination is used whilst varying viscosity as a function of mixing ratio. The ratio is altered until the desired viscosity is reached, as measured by the laboratory equipment. At this point in time, the current consumption of the drive motor for the mixer agitator is measured. This is laid down as a basis for the desired value in the manufacture of following batches.
