The clamp of a gondola lift or of a detachable chair-lift comprises a control lever 17 carrying the movable jaw 14, articulated on the fixed jaw 13. Two springs, which urge the control lever in the closed position of the clamp, are fixed on either side of the clamp body 10, which carries the fixed jaw 13 and an articulation 11 of a hanger arm 12. The springs are twice inclined with the anchoring points 37 spaced apart in the vicinity of the fixed jaw 13.
