The tyre inflation/deflation remote control system involves a tyre (1) being connected to sources of pressure (17) and vacuum (18) and an air vent (19) by a valve (9) with a rotary connection (10) to a pipe (11) from the three electrically operated valves (14-16) of the two-position normally-closed type. The third valve (16) is used for pressure measurement during the inflation process with the pressure displayed on a gauge (40). It is wired so as to be opened automatically when the installation is switched on, and to be closed when either of the other two valves is energised. The inflation valve (14) is closed when the deflation valve (15) is energised.
