The door stop comprises a plinth (4) with a base plate whose highest rear part stops the door. The stop has a tipping piece (1) having two webs, one web being placed on the door leaf frame and the other on the side of the opening leaf. The webs are inclined to each other at an angle of 153 deg. The piece pivots relative to the plinth about a spindle (3) parallel to the plinth. This spindle is threaded and enables adjustment of the piece according to the door thickness. The web placed on the side of the opening leaf has a wedge (2) which acts as a counter weight for returning it to its bottom position. The web on the frame side is raised by a small spring fitted in a pin (6) in the plinth so that the opening leaf web is always in its bottom position. The stop assembly is fixed in the ground by two webs (5) on the plinth which act as embedding legs.
