The bowl (1) is combined with a perforated inner drainer (2) which allows water from the washing to drain out by gravity. Both the bowl and drainer have projections (4a,6b) round their rims to enable them to be set in different positions relative to one another, e.g. with the drainer raised above the bottom of the bowl or inverted on top of it so that articles placed on the upper surface of the drainer are dried by air circulating through its perforations.
