PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To conduct the continuous sterilizing effect in a method wherein an air purifier is provided parallel to a air-conditioner, a switching control means capable of sterilizing both or simply the air conditioner and a room is provided, the air conditioner, the room and the air purifier are connected to each other to constitute the circulation passage of the circulating flow. SOLUTION: In an air purifier 2, the air flows in from an air conditioner 1 through a duct 44 and a fan 12. The in-flow air is led to a rear duct 41 of a blower 9 through a duct 40 via the region such as an ultraviolet ray lamp 13 and a photocatalyst 14. When automatic control valves 28, 29 are closed, an automatic control valve 31 is opened, and the in-flow air returns to the inside of the air conditioner l. The air inside the air conditioner 1 is circulated through the Inside of the air purifier 2. When an ozone generating device 15 is used, the air containing ozone is fed to the air 1 conditioner 1, the ozone concentration is increased inside the air conditioner 1 and the air purifier 2, and the ozone concentration is kept within the prescribed range for the prescribed time by an ozone concentration sensor 35. The inside of the air conditioner 1 and the air purifier 2 can be sterilized thereby.
