PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a distortion caused by the change in insulating layers, by arranging these parts successively and putting both bending in a reverse direction when an insulator layer changes in the volume due to an environmental change and 1st bending occurs in a metal-lined insulator arm part and 2nd bending occurs in an insulator suspending part. ;SOLUTION: For example, in a humid environment, an insulator layer 44 produces 1st bending 68 on a bottom surface of a metal spring 24 along a metal-lined insulator arm part 64 in a gimbal area. To cancel out this, an insulator suspending part 66 is continuously arranged and is made to produce 2nd bending 70 about at a same level as the 1st bending. The 1st bending 68 extends to a node 73 along the insulator arm part 64 from a metal base area, and the 2nd bending 70 extends to a tip part of a curving body 10 along an insulator suspension part 66 from the node 70. As a result from an influence by a hygroscopic change of an insulator layer 44 in the curving body 10, the continuous arrangement of the metal-lined insulator arm part 64 and the insulator suspension part 66 reduces the change in attitude of a head slider mounting place on a metal head connection platform 28.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
