PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a harmful influence caused by breakage overturn and movement, by converting the vibrational energy of an earthquake into kinetic energy for moving an image forming device. ;SOLUTION: Respective mats 8 and 9 are arranged in specific positions on both sides in the longitudinal and lateral directions, to which a printer 1 can be moved, and a framing member 10 and a floor driven member 11 are incorporated in the mats 8 and 9. The framing member 10 and the floor-driven member 11, which are in the mat 9 can be connected to the mat 8 and incorporated after the printer 1 is put in the mat 8. The printer 1 and the mats 8 and 9 are kept at a fixed distance and even if the printer 1 is moved because of the earthquake, its energy is absorbed so that the printer 1 is stopped, because it is surrounded by the respective mats 8 and 9. The respective mats 8 and 9 are provided with the framing member 10 and the floor driven member 11, not to be moved. Thus, even if the printer 1 placed on a 2000-sheet feeding deck 4 is moved because of the energy of the earthquake, the moving amount can be regulated within a prescribed dimension, so that the occurrence of a failure in blocking an evacuation route, etc., can be prevented.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
