PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a catheter chamfering method, by which chamfering can be simplified and process burr can be removed. SOLUTION: A catheter chamfering metal mold 12 is heated, a cylindrical support pin 18 is arranged in a circular opening of the catheter chamfering metal mold, and the heated catheter chamfering metal mold is disposed in the periphery of the extrusion-molded catheter tube. The extrusion-molded catheter tube is fused to let the catheter tube flow in the inner cavity of the chamfering metal mold and take a form demarcated by the cavity, and the fused catheter material flows through a narrow annular gap between the cylindrical support pin and the circular opening of the chamfering metal mold. The cylindrical support pin is drawn out of the chamfering metal mold, and one terminal end part of the conical pin is arranged in contact with the circular opening of the chamfering metal mold. The conical pin slices off the burr of the extrusion-molded extruded material through the narrow annular gap. Next, the catheter chamfering metal mold is removed from the molded catheter 16, and the cylindrical pin is pulled out of the interior of the completed molded catheter.
