PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the flow-out of plasma so as to perform effective sealing by forming an endless drift passage surrounded by interelectrode magnets and electrode- end magnets, and continuously drifting the charged particles, which are charged by discharge, along the drift passage. SOLUTION: Each one end of a first, a third and a fifth bar magnets of six bar magnets 6 are connected to a doughnut-shaped magnet 8a of an upper end of a vacuum container 4, and each one end of a second, a fourth, and a sixth bar magnets are connected to a doughnut-shaped magnet 8b of a lower end of the vacuum container 4 so as to form the structure, for example, that teeth of two pairs of combs are engaged with each other. Movement of the plasma, which is drifted upward or downward at a central part of the vacuum container 4, is changed to the drift movement in the azimuth direction in the upper and the lower ends of the vacuum container 4 by the upper and the lower doughnut-shaped magnets 8a, 8b and the bar magnets 6 of a side surface fitted like a comb. As a result, charge particles are continuously drifted in the azimuth direction, snaking up and down. Since flow-out (loss) of the plasma from the upper and the lower ends of the vacuum container 4 is prevented, discharge (plasma) can be effectively sealed.
