PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To diagnose the insulation property of a high-voltage rotary machine by the dielectric tangent method in all cases. ;SOLUTION: In the insulation property diagnostic method of a high-voltage rotary machine for diagnosing an insulation property by measuring the dielectric tangent of a coil winding 3 that is embedded into a slot 2 of a stator 1 and is insulated and covered when a specific low voltage and a high voltage are applied, a leading part from the slot 2 of the stator 1 of the coil winding 3 is connected by the stator 1 and a low resistance P, thus diagnosing the insulation property when the dielectric tangent when a high voltage is applied as in the above is smaller than that when a low voltage is applied.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
