PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a composite base material for a decorative sheet that causes no concave warp and a method for producing the same. ;SOLUTION: An MDF sheet 11, one or more pieces of plywood veneer 12, 14, 16, an MDF sheet 17 and a damp proof membrane 19 are sequentially stacked in that order with adhesive layers 13, 15, 18, 20 in an unset condition being interposed therebetween, and after having been temporarily pressed for a predetermined length of time, the stacked sheets are integrated by virtue of thermal pressure. Swelling due to the moisture absorption by the MDF sheet 17 constituting the back face is restrained by the dampproof sheet 19, whereby a composite base material for a decorative sheet is obtained which has a tendency of a convex warp on the whole. A decorative sheet 21 is stacked on the MDF 11 on the front side of the decorative sheet composite base material via the adhesive layer 20, and then they are made integral by virtue of thermal pressure to thereby produce a decorative sheet.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
