PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control operational system for a self-propelled tea garden maintenance machine equipped with the main traveling device between ridges on one side and a subordinate side vehicle device between ridges on the other side, designed to stabilize the travel of the machine through obtaining the necessity of shifting a steering handle from one hand to the other when the machine is in turning travel. ;SOLUTION: This system has such scheme that there are provided a caster-type front wheel 12 and a steering handle 5 fixedly set on the support of the front wheel and extended in the front side of the advancing direction in front of the advancing direction of the main traveling device. The steering handle 5 is integrally fitted with two handles in branched form, for a relevant operator walking backward in front of the advancing direction of the main traveling device 1, that is, a 1st handle 53 capable of steering operation in contact with the operator's waist and a 2nd handle 54 located at the operator's right hand site and capable of steering operation with right hand, Futhermore, there is provided a 3rd operational handle 6 for left hand extending from a nearly central position along the lateral width of the gate-type machine frame 2 toward the operator's left hand site. When the machine is in turning travel, the operator can conduct a turning steering operation with the 2nd handle 54 gripped with his right hand without the need of shifting the steering handle from one hand to the other.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
