PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simultaneously make various kinds of ash being industrial wastes and/or plastic wastes harmless by supplying a chemical weapon toxic compound to a burning region of a thermit self sustained burning fuel, and decomposing the chemical weapon toxic compound with burning heat of the thermit self sustained burning fuel. ;SOLUTION: A granulated thermit self sustained burning fuel B1 is continuously supplied to a burning furnace Bc, ignited with an ignition device Bd (for example, ignition temperature is set to be 1100 to 1150°C), and is continuously burned with self burning heat. A chemical weapon toxic compound is liquid or solid at ordinary temperature depending upon kinds thereof, and is made a gaseous state, and is supplied to a burning region of the thermit self sustained burning fuel (being a plasma state owing to reaction heat produced upon thermit reaction) from a chemical weapon toxic compound supply apparatus C, and is made completely harmless and is burned and decomposed with very high burning heat (reaction heat) in the burning region in thermit plasma.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
