PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an accurate hydrogen occulusion sensor having simple structure. SOLUTION: The hydrogen occulusion sensor 1 comprising a flexible planar member 2 having one side bonded with a planar hydrogen occulusion alloy 3 and the other side stretched with a strain gauge 4 is set in a hydrogen occulusion alloy employed in an apparatus. Expansion of the hydrogen occulusion alloy 3 in the sensor 1 is detected and then hydrogen occulusion is determined based on a comparison data between previously measured occulusion and expansion and the detected expansion. Furthermore, the hydrogen occulusion is compared with a set value for the purpose of control.
