PRODUCTION OF DECORATED BUILDING MATERIAL AND DECORATED BUILDING MATERIAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a decorated building material by forming a glass-coating layer having a low softening point and a high hardness and obtained by putting a specific decorating material on a surface of a base and baking the decorating material. ;SOLUTION: This method for producing a decorated building material is constituted of baking of a pulverized glass obtained by pulverizing a window glass of an automobile preferably with 0.02-1.5 pts.wt. metallic copper based on 100 pts.wt. pulverized glass in a state put on a surface of a base. Concretely, a paste-like or a slurry-like decorating material is obtained by adding 0.3-1.5wt.% thickener into a mixture of the 100 pts.wt. before pulverized glass having 2-100μm particle diameter with 0.02-1.5 pts.wt. powder of metallic copper and 20-40 pts.wt. water. Further, the decorating material is applied on a base having a recessed part formed on the surface thereof so as to make the thickness of the coated layer after being dried 1-5mm, dried and thereafter baked in an oxidative or reductive atmosphere at 1,000-1,200°C.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
