PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soft magnetic thin-film having a highly saturated magnetization and high specific resistance, and method of manufacturing the same, to provide a magnetic head and magnetic memory using the soft magnetic thin-film. ;SOLUTION: At least one of a lower soft magnetic layer 13 or an upper soft magnetic layer 18 of a magnetic head forming a magnetic circuit is formed by a soft magnetic thin-film based on a Co-Ni-Fe having S of an atomic ratio 0.5-4at% against an alloy Co-Ni-Fe consisting of Co of an atomic ratio, 30-90%, Ni of less than 40%, and Fe of less than 40%.
