PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly control a stepping motor at a high acceleration without step-out, and make possible accurate wheel alignment measurement. ;SOLUTION: A deviation calculating means 30 compares control target data NO inputted from the outside with control result data Ni, and outputs deviation data ΔN to a signal converting means 31. On the basis of positive and negative direction driving pulse signals CW, CCW which have the number of pulses corresponding to the deviation data outputted from the signal converting means 31, a pulse motor 11 drives an equipment to be controlled. A pulse counting means 32 counts up/down on the basis of the number of pulses of the positive and negative direction pulse signal CW, CCW, generates control result data Ni on the basis of the count data, and outputs the data Ni to the deviation calculating means 30. The pulse motor 11 is driven by the number of pulses which is in proportion to the deviation amount corresponding to the deviation data ΔN. An excessive acceleration is not applied to the equipment to be controlled, and vibration generation can be restrained, so that smooth control is possible.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
