LCD PROTECTIVE COVER STRUCTURE IN PORTABLE INFORMATION TERMINAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the operability of opening and closing of an LCD protective cover by making nonslip elastic rubber protrude, inscribe and interfit in a ridge, whose cross-section is a protrusion shape, of cover boss hole of an LCD protective cover that interfits hinge pins. ;SOLUTION: A nonslip elastic rubber 11 whose cross-section is semicylindrical is inscribed and locked in ridge parts 7c of a pair of protrusion-shaped supporting parts 7a of an LCD protective cover 7. Also, plural rubber legs 12 whose cross-section is semicylindrical are inscribed and fixed to a cover flat plane 7f of the cover 7. When the cover 7 is closed, the rubber 11 accepts a force from the direction of a plane protruding locking piece 13 and assures fitting attachment of the piece 13 and a push button. When the cover 7 is opened, the push button is moved and the engaging lock of the piece 13 is released. At this moment, gap is made between a body case surface and the cover 7 by the releasing force of the legs 12 which are in a compressed state. A finger is applied to the gap and the cover 7 can easily be opened.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
