PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite nonwoven fabric that is excellent in mechanical properties such as heat retention, dust collection and tensile strength. ;SOLUTION: This objective composite nonwoven fabric is produced by laminating a stretchable continuous filament nonwoven fabric mainly containing continuous filament groups with a stable nonwoven fabric mainly containing stable fiber groups. The former is provided with the layer A in which the groups of ultrafine continuous fibers formed by finely fiber-dividing the division type conjugated continuous filaments unevenly distribute and with the layer B in which non-dividing type continuous fiber groups unevenly distribute. Individual layers are bonded to each other with a plurality of hot-melting areas arranged in a certain interval. In the not hot-melting areas other than the hot-melting areas, individual continuous fiber groups in individual layers are arranged in the longitudinal direction. The stretchable continuous filament nonwoven fabric can develop good stretchability in the widthwise direction and shows excellent flexibility. The staple fiber nonwoven fabric mainly comprising staple fiber groups is laminated on the stretchable continuous fiber nonwoven fabric and the staple fiber groups are interlaced with the ultrafine continuous fiber groups and not-dividing type continuous fiber groups whereby both of the nonwoven fabric is firmly bonded to form the objective composite non woven fabric.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
