PURPOSE:To enable a clear image of a high contrast to be recorded by a method wherein a transparent image fixing layer is established on one side of a transparent plastic film, a milk white layer is established on the other side, and the total light transmittance and haze value are made specific values. CONSTITUTION:For a recording film 1, a transparent image fixing layer having resin constituent as a main part is established on one side of a transparent plastic film 3, and a milk white layer 5 is established on the other side. The total light transmittance is 3-85%, and haze value is 30-98%. An effect as a decorative illumination signboard can not be obtained in the case of a total light transmittance below 3%, and an internal structure of a decorative illumina tion device is visible in the case of total light transmittance above 85%. When the haze value is below 30%, diffusion of light is uneven, and uniform coloration is not obtained. In a range of over 85%, the contrast is not high-because of shortage of quantity of light. The recording film 1 is good is adhesion, absorp tion, and dry hardening of printing ink, toner, etc. to a surface of the image fixing layer 4 established on the surface. Therefore, a clear image of a high contrast can be obtained.
