PURPOSE:To remove ear-attached grains perfectly by connecting a gutter for carrying the ear-attached grains away to a sorting disk through an ear removing machine in shaking sorting apparatus where a layer of hulled grains, a layer of ear-attached grains, and a layer of unhulled grains are formed in an elevated part, a low part, and an intermediate part, resp., in a declined sorting disk. CONSTITUTION:After discharged from a storage silo are winnowed by a rough sorting apparatus, they are supplied uniformly to each sorting disk 34 of the sorting apparatus 24. Each sorting disk is composed of a rough surface and shaken up and down obliquely. Owing to this, hulled grains with relatively high specific gravity are gathered swingingly toward a slanting upper part of the sorting disk 34, ear-attached grains with relatively small specific gravity bias flow toward a slanting lower part, and unhulled grains which occupy major part form a layer running in the intermediate part. The ear-attached grains in the slanting lower part drop to a chaff carrying out gutter 52 by divided by an unhulled grain partitioning plate 48, led so as to be discharged from an ear-attached grain receiving gutter 59 by a switching valve 6 2. Then, the ear-attached grains are sent to a beard removing machine by a country grain elevator, and after grain ears are removed here, they are sent to the rough sorting apparatus and winnowed. Winnowed unhulled grains are sorted again by the sorting apparatus 24, and sorted unhulled grains from which ear-attached grains are completely removed are returned to a storage silo.
