PURPOSE:To reduce the equipment and control cost of the plant stated in the title by extending to the depth of a solid rock layer a hot water pump which is to be inserted into a casing pipe and which has a submergible pump provided at its end, and also forming the hot water pump as an enclosed hollow double pump or a pump covered with a heat insulating material. CONSTITUTION:A hot water pump 3' having a submergible pump 2 provided at its end is inserted into a casing pipe 1 inserted into a high temperature water layer C and is extended to a solid rock layer B. An enclosed hollow pipe or a pipe covered with a non-water-absorbing heat insulating material is added to the hot water pump 3'. Hot spring water pumped via the hot water pump 3' is prevented from being cooled while it is pumped. Thus, the equipment cost and control cost are greatly reduced.
