PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the manual adjusting mechanism for a disc brake type parking brake exclusively used for parking and improve the workability of adjusting work. ;SOLUTION: A cylindrical part 22a is provided at the center of a piston 22, and a piston rod 30 is threadedly engaged in the cylindrical part, and a gear 22c is provided on the inner periphery of the piston, and an adjusting pinion 36 is engaged with the gear 22c, and the piston rod is moved by an eccentric cam 21 so as to push out the piston against a return spring 34, and the adjusting pinion is provided at the tip of an adjusting shaft 35, and the adjusting shaft is rotatably supported in the through hole 37 of a support member(s), and the rear end of the adjusting shaft is protruded outside the support member(s). A lock nut 35b is threadedly engaged in a protrusive part at the rear end of the adjusting shaft, and tightened to fix the adjusting shaft to a cylinder block in an axial and a rotating direction.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
