PURPOSE:To obtain temperature sensing elements having small secular changes in resistance value and self temperature sensing and controlling function, by compounding an inorganic compound and a low-dimensional substance having crosslinkable polymer and linear polymer as main components, with graphite or carbon black. CONSTITUTION:The monomers of crosslinkable polymer, impalpable powder or liquid polymer of a linear high molecular compound being a low-dimensional substance, and a low molecular weight inorganic compound are mixed with conductive graphite or carbon black. In addition, an inorganic compound is mixed, and they are blended and polymerized in an organic solvent. Incidentally, the graphite, etc., used here are either natural or artificial and it is desirable that their particle diameters be 1mu or less. Besides, it is desirable that the crosslinkable polymer has three-dimensional reticulated structure and be thermosetting resin. Polyethylene, etc., are used for the linear high molecular compound; 20C or more alkane straight chain hydrocarbon for the low molecular weight organic compound; sodium chloride, etc., for the inorganic compound; and benzene, etc., for the organic solvent.
