In a subassembly rack, the front plate has set screws which preferably extend through the front plate and which are fitted in the front plate in such a way that they have practically no mobility in the radial direction, i.e. no 'play', but can nevertheless rotate and move in the axial direction. The set screws advantageously take up two functions at the same time. When the subassembly is plugged into the rack, the front plate is at the same time centred by the set screws and can then be accurately positioned and fixed on the rack by the same set screws. This advantageously enables a plurality of subassemblies to be plugged next to each other into the rack without hindering each other.
