Toner for developing electrostatic images comprising at least one partially tactic polyalkylene wax

Toner for developing electrostatic images contains: (a) 10-95 wt.% binder resin(s), (b) 0.01-40 wt.% (partly) tactic polyalkylene wax with a number average molecular weight (Mn) of 2000-12000 and ball indentation hardness of NOTLESS 800 bar, (c) 0.1-10 wt.% colourant and optionally other components. Also claimed is the use of polyalkylene waxes in toners of this type. Preferably the wax is a polypropylene wax, especially (partly) isotactic or (partly ) syndiotactic polypropylene, and has a ball indentation hardness of NOTLESS 1000 bar. The binder is a styrene and/or (meth)acrylate homopolymer or a styrene copolymer with ethylenically unsaturated monoolefin(s), vinyl halide(s), vinyl ester(s), (meth)acrylic ester(s), ethylenically unsaturated nitrile(s), vinyl ether(s), vinyl ketone(s) and/or N-vinyl compound(s) or a resin mixture of a styrene resin and other polymer resin(s).
