An electric razor has a set of bent perforated blades on a frame. There is a release mechanism to free the blades from the frame. The catches are at the ends of the frame and the release mechanism presses onto these. The catches have pressure arms in the transverse direction and under these arms are recesses. The release mechanism uses two rows of projections that push the pressure arms out of the recesses. The release mechanism is made of elastically deformable elastic with the lower ends fastened to the blade frame. There are push-buttons to activate it. The blade unit is attached to the housing so that it can move up and down.
