The energy converter includes an elongate generator stage, provided with an induction winding (3) and a number of wind rotors (5). The wind rotors are rotated by the wind, for current generation. The winding is inserted in slots provided in a lamination packet (2) fitted to a carrier line (1). The rotors are fitted around the outside of the lamination packet having permanent magnets (7) and radially projecting rotor blades (6) and spaced from one another via intermediate spacer rings (8).
