PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an efficient tobacco leaves-harvesting vehicle that can continuously and efficiently perform the operations from the tobacco leaf cutting from the foot path side to leaf drying and to provide the tobacco leaf-harvesting method using the harvesting vehicle. ;SOLUTION: The main body of the vehicle that can run along the tobacco plants vegetated on the levees is equipped with a stick inserter 100 for inserting the stems T of cut tobacco leaves to sticks S and provided with the stick- receiving cart 200 for receiving a plurality of sticks to which a needed number of tobacco stems are inserted. As the harvesting vehicle is allowed to run, tobacco leaves are inserted to the sticks S at their stems and the leaf-receiving cart 200 is unloaded from the main body of the vehicle. The receiving cart is directly carried into the drying installation, as it is, the leaves are hung down via sticks to the hanging frame and dried.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
