PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To treat generalized inflammatory diseases including collagen diseases such as chronic rheumatoid arthritis/erythematosus, psoriasis, keratodermia, eczema, etc., by reducing activity of cyclooxygenase without using a steroid preparation having a significant number of adverse effects or a nonsteroid-based antiinflammatory agent. ;SOLUTION: 9-cis-Retinoic acid or the following prostaglandin or prostanoid is administered to patients of various diseases to treat inflammations.
